Salvaging Faith

Tracy Schellhorn
Feb 12, 2007

I saw "FAITH" in the midst of the waters -- deep waters -- and I saw her sink deeper and deeper until she rested on the bottom of the ocean.

Sadness overtook me as I saw how far our faith had fallen.

In the midst of my grief, I looked up and saw a huge hook attached to a cable. The hook was lowered deeper and deeper into the water until it grabbed hold of "Faith." As I watched, "Faith" was lifted up from the bottom until she was lifted above the surface of the water.

The grief I had felt earlier turned to cheering!

I had just witnessed one of the greatest salvage operations ever -- the salvaging of our faith.

So it is with much of the Body of Christ. Loss of hope, disappointment, and despair have sunk our cargo ship -- Faith. In the midst of the great sea, we have found ourselves without the one thing that connects us to our Maker -- faith.

It seems like all is lost and our dreams will never come to pass. Some have even made peace with this hopeless situation and accepted it as their destiny.

BUT GOD IS INTERVENING!

As is the way with the Eternal One, He doesn't wait for us to find a way out on our own. No! He's right there with His hook and cable to meet us where we are.

He's going fishing again, and this time it's for your faith!

Prepare yourself to hope again, to laugh again, to live again . . .

God is salvaging your faith!

{Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. -- Hebrews 11:1}

Note: Read and meditate upon Hebrews Chapter 11. As you see the obstacles faith has overcome in the life of others, your own faith will begin to rise. Remember, you don't have to work it up. God Himself is salvaging your faith. Let Him begin to move your mountains today!
